This will be a special in-person yoga session with Magi Pierce in Case Lounge. The session will also be live-streamed. Please RSVP here by Wednesday, November 19th at 1:00 PM.
Due to space restrictions, there is a limited number of slots for the in-person yoga so we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible. Please note that this session is for CLS students, staff, faculty, and alumni. Other guests may be able to attend if there is space, but they must be approved by Nicole Lavacchia ([email protected]). Spots in the Zoom version of the session have no limit, so anyone who registers after the in-person limit is reached will be sent the Zoom link as an alternative.
If you do not have an active Columbia ID card, after Wednesday, November 19th, you will be added to the guest list for the Law School. Case Lounge is located on the 7th floor of Jerome Greene Hall.
For those attending the session in person, we ask that you bring your own yoga mats and any equipment you would like (blankets, straps, etc.). We will have a very limited number of yoga mats and blocks for those who do not already own some.
Magi Pierce has been teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade. Inspired by her longtime study of asana (posture), meditation, philosophy, and anatomy, she is fascinated by the intersection and overlap of the physical, mental, and breath bodies. She continually aspires to teach an inquiry of subtle alignment in a lighthearted way that is both accessible and relevant. For more on Magi, her website is magipierce.com.
If you have questions about this event or upcoming events, or if any disability accommodations would help you to participate fully in these events, please contact Nicole Lavacchia ([email protected]). Columbia University makes every effort to accommodate individuals with disabilities, so please let us know if any changes, for instance to the format of the sound system, would be helpful.
