The Columbia Law School Mindfulness Program is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the inaugural Mindfulness and Racial/Social Justice Award. Current JD, LLM, and JSD students are eligible for the award, which will recognize work at the intersection of mindfulness and racial/social justice, and nominations can come from students, faculty, staff, or alumni/ae.
The recipient of this year's award will receive $350 and an invitation to share their thoughts at, or help design, a CLS Mindfulness Program event. The award recipient will be announced later this spring, around the time of commencement.
Interested students should complete the brief application at this link by Tuesday, April 6, at 12pm EDT.
Nominations of student applicants are also invited from students, faculty, staff, or alumni/ae. Nominations are entirely optional. Nominated students will be notified of their nomination and invited to apply for the award. The nominator will remain anonymous to the student they nominate, but the Selection Committee will have the information about the nomination. Nominations can be submitted at this link until Thursday, March 25th, at 10am EDT.
