Anu Gupta is a human rights lawyer, scientist, scholar of bias, meditation teacher, and the founder and CEO of BE MORE with Anu, a professional development company that trains corporate, nonprofit, and government leaders to advance inclusion and wellness by breaking bias. Anu is a lifetime fellow of the Mind & Life Institute and a trained meditation teacher with over 10,000 hours of meditation on extended retreats in Asia and North American. He is also the author of the award-winning, best-selling book Breaking Bias: Where Stereotypes and Prejudices Come From and the Science-Backed Method to Unravel Them (2024), with a foreword from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Elea Werner is an LL.M. student at Columbia. She has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from a law school in Paris, France. She is passionate about Civil and Private international law, and would like to work in those areas after her LL.M. She is currently obtaining the Paris and New York Bars. She discovered Mindfulness at Columbia, has been attending these sessions since the beginning of the year and attended last semester’s silent retreat.
