The Columbia Law School Mindfulness Program invites you to a discussion of the intersection of mindfulness practices and racial justice, celebrating the publication of Professor Rhonda Magee's latest book on the date of its release, The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness, featuring Professor Magee, Jon Kabat-Zinn, and Sharon Salzberg.

Rhonda V. Magee, MA, JD is Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco, a board chair of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute, and a pioneer in the movement to intersect mindfulness, law, and social justice. She is author of The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through MindfulnessRhondaVMagee.comusfca.edu/law/faculty/rhonda-magee.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D is a scientist, meditation teacher, and writer. He is the founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and is internationally known for bringing mindfulness practices into the mainstream of medicine, health care, and society.

Sharon Salzberg is a pioneer in the field of meditation, a world-renowned teacher, and New York Times best-selling author. She has played a pivotal role bringing meditation and mindfulness into mainstream American culture since 1974, with her down-to-earth and relatable teaching style that offers a secular, modern approach to Buddhist teachings, making them instantly accessible. Sharon is co-founder of The Insight Meditation Society, in Barre, MA and has authored 10 books, including the New York Times best-seller, Real Happiness (2017).
